Seven Arrows is Home
09/08/26
On the first day of school, Seven Arrows Elementary School opened the doors of our new, permanent campus located at 3420 Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica.
After nearly two years of extraordinary perseverance, our remarkable new space was custom built not simply to house our school, but to reflect who we are, how we teach, and what we believe children need in order to thrive.

Our new building is light-filled, spacious, and thoughtfully designed around the way our students learn. Classrooms are large and flexible, with dedicated breakout spaces that allow teachers to bring students together in small groups for targeted instruction, enrichment, and differentiation. Administrative offices have moved upstairs, leaving the ground floor entirely dedicated to our students.
Our new state-of-the-art STEAM and art studios provide ample room for students to experiment, build, make, question, design, and imagine. These purpose-built environments allow our hands-on, inquiry-driven curriculum to come fully to life.
And then there is the outdoor space!
Expansive and full of possibility, it includes a soccer field, basketball court, handball walls, gaga pit, and plenty of room to run, play, gather, and explore. The yard wraps around the campus, giving children an extraordinary amount of space to move throughout the day – to play with friends, discover something new, find a quiet corner, or simply run
We believe deeply that some of the most important moments of childhood happen outside the classroom. Recess is where friendships deepen, where older and younger students cross paths, and where children practice independence, collaboration, imagination, and joy. Our new campus gives those moments room to grow.
We are also excited about what is still to come, including the return of our beloved tree weave climbing structure, a treasured feature of our Aldersgate campus in the Palisades.
But the significance of this place goes far beyond square footage. When the Palisades fire took our campus, we did not know where we would land, or what the future would look like. Throughout that period of uncertainty, our teachers continued to teach with extraordinary care and purpose. Our students continued to learn, play, question, laugh, and grow. Our families continued to show up for one another. We discovered, again, that the heart of a school is not its walls. It is the people inside them. And yet, there is something profound about walking through the front doors and knowing that this place is ours.
This is the place where our children will make memories. Where teachers will inspire generations of students. Where families will gather and friendships will begin on the playground and continue for years. It is where a child will discover a love of reading or math, design and innovate in the STEAM studio, become absorbed in a piece of art, score a first soccer goal, or find the confidence to share an idea with the room.
It is a place built for the Seven Arrows of today and for the Seven Arrows we are still becoming.
Our new home keeps us rooted in Santa Monica’s Ocean Park neighborhood and very near Clover Park, a beloved part of our community and a place our students already know and love. We are also watching with tremendous excitement as plans move forward to transform the Santa Monica Airport into an extraordinary public park, creating even more possibilities for learning, recreation, and connection in the years ahead.
At the same time, we continue to honor our roots in the Palisades at Aldersgate, which is in the process of becoming an incredible science center. It will offer a beautiful place for our community to gather and learn together while providing proximity to Temescal Canyon, Will Rogers State Historic Park, and the beach — places where our students will continue to learn from and connect with the natural world. continue to honor our roots in the Palisades at Aldersgate, which is in the process of becoming an incredible science center, offering a beautiful space to gather and learn together, while providing proximity to Temescal Canyon and Will Rogers Park and Beach, where our students will continue to learn and connect with nature.

To our teachers and staff: Thank you for the steadiness, creativity, and extraordinary care you brought to every day. You showed our children what resilience looks like, not as an abstract idea, but as something we practice together.
To our families:Thank you for trusting us, standing with us, and believing in Seven Arrows through a period of profound uncertainty. You helped carry this community forward.
And to our students: This place is for you! You have continued to show us what it means to adapt, to care for one another, and to keep moving forward. Now, we get to watch you fill this place with the energy, curiosity, laughter, and joy that make Seven Arrows what it is.
As we begin this new year, our themes are compassion, connection, gratitude, and joy. They could not be more fitting.
We are grateful for where we have been. We are proud of what this community has carried together. And we are filled with excitement for what comes next. Because this is more than a new building. It is a new chapter for Seven Arrows. A place designed for our children. A place built around our way of learning. A place where our community can put down roots and look toward the future. After everything, we are home.
