Seven Arrows Elementary is proud to celebrate the graduation of our Class of 2026!

This class are a resilient bunch. They were in kindergarten when a globsl pandemic disrupted our lives. They are also all survivors from the Palisades fire last year that tore through our community, including many of their own homes. They moved with us to a temporary campus and again to a new home in Santa Monica, rebuilding community every step of the way. Today, we celebrated who this class became through all of it.

Thank you to our incredible faculty, who gave these students their very best through every challenge. And to the families who held this community together.

A beautiful string quartet, student performers and heartfelt speeches made for a moving ceremony. It was unforgettable.

As the school year comes to an end, we wrap up one of our favorite year-long projects. Our kindergartners have been visiting different countries and learning about different continents through a wonderfully imaginative curriculum. An opportunity for cultural expression and for growing their sense of wonder for the world.

What happens when 5th graders are given the opportunity to follow their curiosity?

The Proteus Project is a student-driven research and writing experience, and a meaningful milestone for our rising 6th Graders. Each student selects a topic that sparks their interest, explores it deeply, and creates a physical project to bring their learning to life during their culminating presentation.

This year’s topics included Manzanar and Japanese American incarceration, athletic nutrition before, during, and after competition, hairstyles through the ages, and so much more.

From curiosity to research to confident presentation, our 5th Graders impressed us with their creativity, depth of thinking, and ownership of their learning. We are so proud of them! ...

Opportunities to teach character, leadership, and community often come through the most meaningful kinds of programming.

This week, @wolftribeofficial and @apexprotectionproject visited Seven Arrows as the culmination of a multi year curriculum exploring wolves and the many ways their behavior mirrors our own. Through this work, students have studied how wolves build communities rooted in respect, trust, communication, and care for one another.

The rescued wolves’ visit to campus gave our students and teachers a powerful, unforgettable encounter and brought these lessons beautifully to life.

A reminder that leadership is not just about being in charge. It is about listening, earning trust, protecting the group, and knowing how we belong to something larger than ourselves.

Our 5th graders, together with our amazing art teacher and muralist Clinton Bopp @clintonbopp, created this stunning one-of-a-kind stand-up paddle board, beautifully designed with a marine theme and made right here at Seven Arrows.

This special piece will be heading to auction at our Spring Fundraiser, Here We Grow, where every bid supports Tuition Assistance and the programs that make our school so extraordinary.

One lucky bidder will take home a true Seven Arrows original.

We had the honor of hosting @Malala Yousafzai at Seven Arrows, and watching her speak to our students about ethical leadership, ambition, and pursuing values-driven work. The questions our kids asked showed they’re already thinking like changemakers.

This tremendous opportunity came to us suddenly, bringing her vision and inspiration to our community.

Our second graders are working with Mr. Chris on an exciting series about simple machines. This week, they built hydraulic crane models in collaborative groups. Students had different jobs within their groups, and they worked together to discover the physics and mechanics behind the engines that move and lift. The room had a palpable energy of wonder through this superb hands-on activity, brought to Seven Arrows by Mr. Chris.

Student learning is greatly enriched by the interests and passions that each teacher brings to the table. Fostering these projects spark kids’ curiosity, and create inspired, lifelong learning. ...

This morning at Kuyam, we were treated to something truly special! A live jazz performance and demonstration with guest musicians Felix Pollard on drums, Del Atkins on bass, Melvin “Maestro” Wellington Lightford III on piano, and our very own amazing music teacher Norma LaTuchie on flute.

Our kindergartners took the stage and sang ‘Take the A Train’ backed by this incredible band. Kids danced, grooved, and soaked in the magic of authentic jazz.

The musicians spoke about improvisation and how the freedom to create and go with the flow carries into every area of life. ...

Our kindergartners are traveling the world! As part of our Global Cultural History and multicultural curriculum, special guests join us to share stories, flags, foods, songs, and traditions from countries they are connected to through heritage or in other ways.

Our young explorers imagine boarding airplanes, stamping their passports as they go through customs. Hands-on crafts and conversation

We believe that learning about the world and the people in it is one of the most important things we can do for our youngest students. ...

After lunch, it was Athletics Day-time at the park! , which always brings the Seven Arrows community; parents, teachers and kids, out for fun, games, sunshine, and tire flipping relay races.
